Craig, I am sorry to hear of the lose of your father. I will be praying for you and your family.
I'd like to express deep sympathy for loss of your loved one. I hope and pray this message brings comfort and soothes the pain that you are experiencing at this time. What has helped me to cope and deal with the loss of a loved one is found in God's Word the Bible in Psalms 113:5-8 which says “Who is like Jehovah our God, The one who dwells on high? He stoops down to look on heaven and earth, raising the lowly from the dust. He lifts up the poor from the ash heap in order to make him sit with nobles, with nobles of his people”. Our heartfelt sympathies are with the family at this time. We both worked with Bill for many years and he was there for me when Nathan was born. He was a very special man and will truly be missed by many. We have many great memories of him and Nancy.
Wendy, Craig and Tway,
Don't know if you will remember us, but I (Kim) remember your sweet parents from their time in Mountain City and all the good they did while they were here. Don has wonderful memories of their time at First Baptist of Damascus. Your dad was the driving force behind the way Don plays "How Great Thou Art" and other piano arrangements of other beloved hymns. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families during this difficult time.
I thank the Lord for a special and dear friend and mentor in Bill. I came to Trinity Baptist Church a year ago and right away joined a very special group of people writing cards, sending packages to our military from our church, etc. through what is called THE CARE TEAM. Bill headed this group up and I later learned his dear wife, Nancy had started the group. I was very blessed to be able to join in, in this most encouraging ministry. I truly cherish special moments with Bill in joyful times when doing our cards, in visitation after he had a hospital stay and in special times of prayer together. He did so much at our church, we all will feel the void. He played beautifully on the piano at our worship services and sang in the choir with his own personal instrument to praise and honor his king. Bill is singing a new song now. I look to the future when I will see him again in heaven!! May the Lord surround his dear family with love, comfort and perfect peace at this time and in the days ahead. My husband, Don and I send our deepest condolences to the family in loving prayer.
