William "Bill" Almond's Obituary
Mr. William “Bill” Almond, 64, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016.
A native of Carthage, TN, Bill was the son of Lloyd and Peggy Almond. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tip Almond, his stepmother, Bobbie Almond, and step-father, Joe Green.
Bill was a retired electrician for the City of Charlotte working at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport with 35 years of service. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hot rods, and tinkerin’. Through the years, he and his son built several hot rods and rat rods.
Mr. Almond is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peggy Almond, their children; Michelle Duke (Mike) of Rock Hill, SC, Allison “Butthead” Almond (Dennis Chapman) of Huntersville, Michael Almond (Maggie) of Murrells Inlet, SC, grandchildren; Alex and Ella Duke, Annabel Almond, step-brother, Ed Bullard of Charlotte, and niece, Ashely Almond of Jasper, AL.
