William Edward Freeze's Obituary
William Edward (Bill) Freeze, 73, of Charlotte went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was born on September 11, 1943 in Concord, NC, to the late William (Dub) and Hildred Vernelle Freeze. He served in the US Air Force for 5 years and worked as a Material Specialist at AT&T when he retired in 2006 with 36 years of service. When he started this job he was in the Warehouse at Western Electric, then transferred over to Bell South in 1985, which ultimately became AT & T.
Bill had a good life and was blessed with an almost 49-year marriage with his Love, who he called "Baby or Babe" all the time, a wonderful son, daughter-in-law, and his granddaughter who had his heart from the time she was born, and an all-around wonderful and close family.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Railey Freeze; son, W. David Freeze and wife Flor of Summerville, SC; granddaughter, Savanna, siblings Robert and Richard Freeze, sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Ronnie Brown, nieces and nephews, as well as his constant canine companion, Buddy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Newell Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 27 in the chapel of James Funeral Home with a reception to follow in the James Funeral Home Community Room.
