Barbara and family. I was so sorry to hear of Bill's death. I have such fond memories of my years taking care of the children. You all will always hold a special place in my heart I will always remember our years together and how wonderful they were. Love to all of you.

What can I say about Dad that hasn't already been eloquently written? Dad was a wonderful man and role model. I am lucky and proud to call him, Dad. He will be in my heart forever.💞
Thankful Bill and his fatherly ways were shared with me! (all us all.) So many memories throughout the last 15/16 years have a sprinkling of him…Giving him a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings to receive his big “Well Hello” greeting, wearing a shirt with large black stripes one day and him asking me if I just got out of jail, being in a small group with him and him asking Dustan “ How long was your honeymoon?” and Dustan replies 10 days and Bill says, “ WRONG! it’s a lifetime!” 😍. He would attempt to pay me in candy bars every week to clear the numbers he had called on his phone… he didn’t like “all of that mess” in there. While those are only a few of the memories, I will forever be grateful for Sarah and Derek for opening their lives to me so I could experience the goodness of Bill!
Ushering with Bill was always a hoot. He was #1 Usher and I was always #3. Only if he was going to be gone, then he would allow me to be #1, but only for that one Sunday. Enjoyed our chats over coffee each Sunday. Once he just had to share information about a special "BEETLE". When he was done he would then rub his forefinger and thumb together. I would just chuckle. Love you brother. Will always miss you, and we will keep a cup of coffee on the table for you and you will always remain #1 usher.
While worshipping along with a Bethel video one Saturday night, Bill Johnson mentioned seeing angels while worshipping. I told the Lord I'd love to see angels while we worship at River. In my spirit, I looked around the stage expecting angels to hang with the worship leaders, but saw no angels. I thought to myself, "I'll just wait till tomorrow and look for angels during our worship time. In my spirit I heard the Lord say. "Why wait",
and HE showed me an image of Bill and Barbara, standing by the Communion elements, waiting to greet us as we come to worship.
Bill,you leave an indescribable void in our lives!
Whenever I greeted he would take the time to catch up with me. He would ask about my job or how the ladies in the Highland Creek crew were doing. Then when he saw me come around the curtain to take my seat he would extend his arm to me and walk me to my seat as a father would walk his daughter down the isle. So sweet!
Mr. Bill always talked with me on Sundays, asking me about things & remembering details that I had told him before about my family or interests. He showed genuine concern whenever something like storms happened near my hometown and celebrated with me when great things happened (like championships!) He made me feel cared for, like one of his own family, the way the best fathers do. Seeing so many wonderful memories others have of Mr. Bill and hearing how everyone else felt about him makes me realize it was all because of his heart for people! What a wonderful gift he left for us to know that he cared so much for all of us. And how familiar a feeling that should be for those of us who have known the love of the Father! I have to say, I never heard Mr. Bill preach a sermon or teach a lesson but his everyday life was a master class in Sharing the Love of God. “We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
Bill was one of the first persons I met when we started coming to River. Loved talking with him about sports. He was a long time pirate fan. I’ll miss those talks.
Bill was a very sweet & caring person. He always had a smile on his face! He loved his family & God!! Bill was always a fiend to all. You will be missed!
