William Henry Austin's Obituary
Mr. William Henry Austin, 72, of Charlotte, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 19, 2017.
Bill was retired from Eaton Corporation. He enjoyed gardening, working on cars, and most of all, spending time with his family to whom he was known as “Uncle Bill”. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and his dog, Buddy.
Mr. Austin is survived by his wife of 53 years, June, their children; Billy (Tonya), Debbie, grandchildren; Gabriel, Caleb, Noah, Luke, Levi, Shelby, brothers; Marvin (Debbie), James (Kay), Lynn, and several nieces and nephews.
The family extends special thanks to those who were there for Uncle Bill; Billy, John and Tammy McCorkle, Marvin, Lynn, Lori, Debra, Derrick, and his special nurse, Rhonda.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E. Seventh St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy Jones officiating.
