William King III's Obituary
William Dailey King, III, 82, of Davidson died October 29, 2024 at his home. He was born in Mecklenburg County on May 11, 1942 to the late William Dailey King, Jr. and Frances Hambright King.
Bill was a Christian and attended Grace Covenant Church. Bill was an automobile mechanic. Prior to retiring, he worked at Amity Automotive and Kirk Brown Automotive and started his own mobile automotive repair, Bills on the Spot Car Care. He enjoyed the mountains, the beach, hunting , fishing, western square dancing, auto racing especially NASCAR, his dogs and cats
Survivors include his wife Lynda Ellen McCall; sons, Dailey King of Charlotte, Kevin King of Charlotte, Sean King and wife Catherine of Mint Hill and Andy King and wife Melissa of Stanely; siblings, Stella, Donna and Joyce and 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Grace Covenant Church , 17301 Statesville Rd. Cornelius NC 28031
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, November 10 at Grace Covenant Church. Visitation will be 3-3:30 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
