Lee is survived by his son, Roger McCoy and his wife, Miriam, of Harrisburg, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and a large family of sister-n-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He loved you all in his own unique and special way.
The family would like to extend their deep appreciation and special thanks to all of the family, friends and neighbors that helped to “keep an eye” on Lee in his later years of riding around North Mecklenburg County. Whether on his golf cart, lawn mower, or truck, Lee enjoyed getting out and visiting friends and family, and didn’t like sitting still. He had a unique relationship with everyone, and cared deeply about the close family and friends he visited. Your watchful eyes, care and attention were a true blessing to Lee and his family.
Additionally, special thanks are extended to the staff of Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen of Huntersville, for the years of providing him with love and lunches. He truly had a fondness for all the staff.
On behalf of Lee, the family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Cabarrus County, and especially to all the nursing staff for the care and compassion Lee was provided while in their care. He was blessed to have each of you as a care giver.
In lieu of flowers, it was Lee’s wishes to have memorials sent to Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen, PO Box 315 Huntersville, NC 28070-0315.
