So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Bill was a great friend and mentor of mine on so many subjects. I always valued his experience and insight in business and in normal life activities. I have many books from his sales training library and have continued his legacy for training new salesman for a career of success. We will miss his joy for life and many stories about trains and travels. God Speed my friend... Our sympathy and wishes to his entire family and large network of friends.
Bill had a heart of gold. When no one else would step in, he took on the job of secretary of the FLORIDA Live Steamers. This he did for many years. Bill will be greatly missed!
We remember Bill as a kind and caring friend. He will be missed by many.
Lillian and I give you our most sincere condolences. Bill always responded immediately to our question or asking for help concerning most anything hobby related and some not related. He will be most difficult to replace. We will miss him along with you.
Bill Matson, I owe my professional career to him (SDP Class of 2005). He was a great mentor that was always there to guide and nudge along. His quick wit was always well placed! Outside of work my family enjoyed the time riding on his trains and fellowshipping with him and Mrs. Matson. A legend was lost here on Earth, but he will remain in our hearts for sure. Thank you Matson family for sharing Bill with all of us. Prayers for comfort for you during this time.
Bill was a great member of the Live Steam Community He will be deeply missed.
So sorry for Bill and his family. I enjoyed working on the rail road with him and getting to know the family.
