William Roger Moore's Obituary
William Roger Moore was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on April 30, 1949 to the late Walter Moore Sr. and Edna Wilson Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Antonio Johnson. Roger transitioned on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville, North Carolina.
William graduated from Mount Holly High School, Class of 1968. He was employed at Burlington Industries and Gaston County Dye, retired as a welder/ electrician.
William leaves fond and loving memories in the hearts of his wife Annie Moore and their three sons Tony Johnson of Charlotte, Clifford (Brandy) Moore of Charlotte, and Mitch Moore of Charlotte; one granddaughter Tiara Johnson of Charlotte; two brothers Walter Moore Jr. of Mount Holly and Fritz Moore of Mount Holly; five sisters Goleen (Oscar) Reid of Belmont, Sarah Moore of Gastonia, Shirley Webber of Belmont, Suvon Moore of Belmont, and Wanda Moore of Gastonia; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews; and cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday, August 2, 2019, at James Funeral Home of Huntersville.
