William Perry's Obituary
Mr. William “Bill” Perry, 80, of Cornelius, NC, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024.
Bill was born in Brooklyn, NY. He was a proud alumnus of Brooklyn Preparatory School (Brooklyn Prep) and College of the Holy Cross. After college, Bill served six years as an officer in the Submarine Service in the United States Navy. After the Navy, Bill spent 28 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation including time as the Special Agent in Charge of both the Pittsburgh and Charlotte Field Offices as well as the Deputy Assistant Director of the Criminal Investigative Division. Upon retiring from the FBI, Bill worked 13 years as the Director of Corporate Fraud Investigative Services with Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia). Bill enjoyed golf, travel, cooking, watching sports (especially his grandkids), grocery shopping, Guinness, and most of all spending time with his family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stelle Perry.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Susan Perry, their sons: Tucker Perry (Julie) of Davidson, NC, and Matt Perry (Jen) of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren: Owen, Maddy, Keegan, Finnegan; brother Steve Perry (Jeannette) of San Clemente, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Catholic funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024, at James Funeral Home of Huntersville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service.
