Willliam Lee Grogan's Obituary
William Lee Grogan, 73, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026. He was born in Axton, Virginia, on April 9, 1953, to the late Arney Leonard Grogan and Sara Still Grogan. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Grogan, and his daughter, Jeannie Faye Grogan.
William is lovingly remembered by his wife, Elisa Balunsat Grogan; his sons, Jacob Lee Grogan and Joshua Lee Grogan and his wife, Jessica; his sisters, Sarah Diane Adams, Sharon Kay Grogan, and Norma Grogan Dixon and her husband, William Byron Dixon; his cherished grandsons, Zander and Zane Grogan; as well as numerous cousins and extended family members.
William enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved watching sports, especially football, and could often be found enjoying a good movie. One of his favorite pastimes was raising and caring for his chickens, a hobby that brought him great satisfaction.
Blessed with a friendly and outgoing personality, William never met a stranger. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and had a gift for making friends wherever he went.
Above all, William loved his family. He appreciated life's simple moments, valued the relationships he built throughout his life, and leaves behind many treasured memories for those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
