I thank God that He allowed me to be there for my dear friend, Mr. Bain, "for such a time as this". Time spent with Mr. Bain was God's own timing. And everything hapoened the way God intended it to. I would just sit and listen to him talk about his family and friends whom he loved dearly. They in turn loved him. You could set your clock by the time they would call and the day of the week that his friends would visit. We shared so many good times together. I learned so much from Mr. Bain. He wore so many different hats. All of them gave me insight into the person he really was. To me he was a chef, professor, project manager, problem solver, consultant, just to name a few. His memory was sharp, his mind even sharper. I remember stories he told me about driving the church bus, taking the senior citizens many times to Myrtle Beach, to Homestead, Fla. to pick oranges, to Disney World in Orlando, Fla. and going to see the Braves play baseball in Atlanta, Ga. He even spoke about he and others driving the church bus to the Grand Canyon. He also told me about his experiences overseas while serving in the Army during World War ll. And upon his return from military service, he worked for Blythe Construction. He was devoted and committed, serving joyfully in his church , Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a lifetime member. Mr. Bain lived a fulfilled life, full of so many rich experiences. God blessed me to spend this unforgettable time with my forever, irreplaceable friend, Mr. Bain. I am eternally grateful! - Mildred Brown
