Yoke Wu's Obituary
Mrs. Yoke Yen “Peggy” Wu, 50, of Cornelius, passed away on Friday, February 24th, 2017 in Cornelius, North Carolina.
Peggy was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Kuen Yin “Lulu” Foo and Foot Choy Wong on October 12th, 1966. She traveled to New York and then Ohio before settling in North Carolina with her husband. Peggy loved to travel, enjoyed food, and sewing; so much so that she decided to start her own shop that she has run with her mother for over 15 years. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will forever be remembered as a selfless and strong woman who imbued warmth and joy to those around her. She exuded a brilliance like no other and a sense of comfort and ease when around her. Many of the family’s fondest memories of her feature her contagious laughter and exuberance. Even in her last days, she continued to care for her loved ones and continue to keep them in her thoughts. She got to see her children graduate high school and pursue higher education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Wu is survived by her husband of 28 years, Fuang Yen “Jimmy” Wu, their children; Erica and Steven Wu, mother; Lulu Foo, brothers; Calvin, Eric, William, and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, February 27 at James Funeral Home of Huntersville at 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, North Carolina, 28078.
