I wanted to offer my condolences on the loss of both Anna and Ralph Lotshaw. This is very odd but I could not resist sharing my story. I never got to meet your family members in person. However, I am an oral surgeon that took over for Gary Ogilvie and Dennis Clark in both Parkersburg and Marietta. When I was finishing my residency I began talking to Gary about taking over for him when I finished. He always spoke highly of Dr. Lotshaw and their time together. Whenever I came back and joined the practice I was told that Ralph retired to Pinehurst and enjoyed his family. So few of the surgeons I know have been able to move into retirement and truly enjoy their time. It has been a goal of mine to retire the same way. I still use his surgical forceps EVERY DAY and I smile every time I see the RLL etched on them. They are my favorites and give me good mojo every time. Bless you all from a total stranger that has had his life touched by your family. Thanks for allowing me to pass this along.
