Anna Lotshaw's Obituary
Anna Leola McGreevey Lotshaw, a devoted mother and grandmother, a kind and compassionate lady, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Cornelius, NC.
Ann was born in Greenville, Ohio on July 24, 1931, the daughter of Alceid Cornelius and Eva Otha Sharp McGreevey. She attended the Ohio State University and received a certificate in Dental Hygiene and then worked to support her husband, Ralph Louis Lotshaw, as he completed his oral surgery degree. They lived in Baltimore, Maryland; Columbus, Ohio; and Huntington, West Virginia before they relocated to Parkersburg, WV where they raised their family. In addition to her earlier work as a dental hygienist, Ann graduated from college at the age of 50, getting her BS degree in Business Administration and working in local industry in the finance world.
Following retirement, Ann lived in Ft. Myers, Florida and Pinehurst, NC. Later following Ralph’s death she lived in Wilmington, NC with her daughter Karen and then later in Cornelius, NC with her daughter Pam.
Ann raised four children, Karen Ann Barnes (Jeff) in Cornelius, NC, Pamela Susan Stecki in Cornelius, NC, Richard Ralph Lotshaw (Mary) in Brentwood, TN and Sanda Lotshaw Micken (Rob ) in Helena, MT. In addition to being a very involved parent, Ann served as a volunteer in several organizations including the Junior League of Parkersburg, the ski patrol at Canaan Valley, and the PEO organization in both Florida and NC. Ann enjoyed sailing, golf, tennis, skiing, spending time with close friends, and travel.
In addition to her four children, she is survived by eight grandchildren, Justin and Bryan (Margaret) Barnes, Daniel (Lindsey) and Hana Stecki, Amy, James and Sarah Lotshaw and Seray Micken. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Ava Stecki and Brody Barnes.
Ann was proceeded in death by her loving spouse of 61 years, Ralph Louis Lotshaw, in 2013 and her five siblings. She passed away in the presence of her children and two of her granddaughters.
A memorial service is being planned for August 9, 2025, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, WV.
