Joe and I are so sorry about Charlie. He was a wonderful man. Our lives crossed with his (and yours Liz) in many different ways. I remember taking paint, etc. to the recycling center when he worked there - I think that was where I first met him. Of course, there was the safety patrol that Joe was a part of. But most of all, I remember times at the playground with our Grandson and yours. If yours weren't there Charlie was enjoying all the kids, esp. his "adopted" granddaughter. He will be missed by a lot of people.
I had the pleasure of knowing Charlie as a neighbor, a friend and fellow board member. I always admired the way Charlie knew how to get things done. He consistently made good decisions for the benefit of his neighbors and his community. He was always two steps ahead of all of us. He had tremendous foresight. He also had a lot of fire in the belly. He was not afraid to fight the good fight and say the things that needed to be said regardless of whether they were politically correct. Charlie was a true patriot. And that lawn!!!!!
Amy and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of someone who was obviously a great man. I appreciate his service and devotion to our country and to his family. I pray God will give you peace, comfort, and strength in the tough days ahead.

I will always cherish the memories Charlie and I shared. Working together for 15 plus years greatly enriched our lives. He was a trusted friend, like a brother. Liz, Olivia and I will like you to know our sympathy is with you and your family.
Amy (and mom Liz and all of your family)
Thinking and praying for you all. Glad to see that Charlie was a proud Marine and served his country with pride.
Wishing you loads of prayers!

Liz,
I was sorry to hear of Charlie's death. Cancer is a terrible disease and we have witnessed its effects on several members of our extended family.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We remember many good times with you at HRSD.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Charlie while living at Wedgewood North. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Always willing to lend a helping hand and he worked tirelessly to make our neighborhood the best that it could be. Charlie, it was a pleasure to get to know you and you will be missed so much! A lot of great memories were made in that neighborhood for so many people because you helped make it a fun, safe place to live. My heart goes out to Liz and the whole family and may you cherish all the good times you shared with this great man. Rest in peace, Charlie. You will never be forgotten.
