Cindi Avery's Obituary
Cynthia (Cindi) Gail Sharp Avery - Born February 25th, 1957 in Atlanta GA to the late James and Dorothy Sharp. - Deceased 9/29/2020 in Charlotte NC. Survived by her husband James Avery: son Vann (Jenn) Doubleday and her granddaughter Jamie Kate of Savannah, GA; Step-daughter Magan Avery Pinzon and granddaughters Ava & Charlotte of Midland, NC; sister Carol Warner; sister-in-law’s Becky Sharp, Lynn Sharp, Donna Greene, Lynda Greene and brother-in-law Chuck Greene; Mother-in-law Jean Greene. Countless amazing nieces and nephews and cousins. Cindi was the youngest of 6 siblings. Preceded by Jack Sharp, Robbie Sharp, Patsy Samples, and Terry Sharp. She was an accomplished sign language interpreter, realtor, designer card maker and friend. Her mantra was “Here! Try this! It’s the best! She was known for her never ending search for the best life had to offer. The best coffee, the best stamp, the best chocolate, the best grapes, books, games, music etc. and her never ending quest to ensure everyone else could experience the “BEST” thing that she had recently discovered. She was taken much too soon, and unexpectedly. She was a beautiful woman full of life and joy and she spread it everywhere she went and with everyone she met. She's never met a stranger. She loved the Lord and had a strong faith in Christ. Cindi was the BEST and we are so grateful we got to spend life with her while we could. She is going to be missed on an immeasurable scale. The Brightest stars burn out the quickest but are the most beautiful.
She wanted to be cremated and we will likely have a celebration of life service next year around her birthday in February. Currently in NC there is a limit to 25 people for an inside service or 50 for outside. We have more than that in our immediate family so the current thought is to hold for when we can celebrate her properly. She was loved by a LOT of people.
Cindi loved living plants, but never wanted cut flowers. If you want to honor her memory with flowers, please plant something in your yard that blooms and is pretty. She loved Jasmine, Japanese maples, lambs ear, and many other perennials. Fruiting plants too, fig tree, tomatoes, and black berries especially.
