So sorry our thoughts and prayers are with you
We are honored to have had Dan in our families life for the past 50 years. Thanks for a lifetime of wonderful memories! Hugs to the entire family.
Dan Oaks. Uncle Dan to me, was an amazing man! My Mom, Betty Correll Coughlin truly loved her baby brother. We were very close to him when he lived in Wheaton, Illinois and visited him often after he moved to Orlando, Florida. Dan and his wonderful wife Rita would always take us to Flea Markets and they always came back with interesting items. He loved to fish and took me Blue fishing several times off Port Canaveral. The greatest fishing I have ever experienced! I can still picture Dan smiling and laughing as I fought a ten pound Blue fish for thirty minutes before we landed it. He loved life! And he will be greatly missed! Love you Uncle Dan!
I miss our chats RIP good friend

The world lost an amazing man, and I lost a hero.. Godspeed, Uncle Dan.
Dan , Was the most incredible and intelligent man I have ever had the fortune to call my friend . He was mostly self educated but new more then any engineer or scientist ! Was always ready to help any of less fortunate people with his wisdom and knowledge . I like may of his friends felt he was my best friend . I loved him like a brother and tried to emulate him . will miss him dearly . RIP Dan .

Said to hear of Dan's passing. After years of being out of the Oaks family circle, Facebook brought back Dan and other family I had no idea I had. My Grandfather was Robert Eugene Oaks. My father was Robert E. Oaks Jr.
