Daniel "Bierdo" Oaks' Obituary
Daniel Ray “Bierdo” Oaks, 78, of Charlotte, NC passed away on December 10, 2016.
He was born on March 26, 1938 in Belfontaine, OH. He was the only son of the late Charles Ray Oaks and Gertrude Crampton Oaks, and the husband of the late Rita M. Van Dyke Oaks. He was an inventor and successful entrepreneur, owning and operating FormTech Services in Charlotte and Orlando, FL. He loved riding his motorcycles, shooting guns, fishing and tinkering.
He is survived by four children, Carol Young and husband Charlie of Baltimore, MD, Diane Oaks of Wilberton, OK, Tricia Parrett and husband Brien of Charlotte, and Matthew Scott and wife Mary of Orlando, FL; one sister, Janet Brown of Fort Wayne, IN; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Coughlin.
All services will be private.
