David William McElveen, 58, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of Huntersville on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was a loving child of God and devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend Read Obituary
David was my first manager at Kemper. I recall him calling me and interviewing me over the phone a couple of times and then called me with an offer. I was so grateful for the opportunity and to begin my transition from S.C. to N.C.
Hands down, David was an effective leader that lead by example. As a team, we knew that he loved and adored his family as he often shared stories. He will truly be missed.

David McElveen was a great man. I met him in Winston Salem through Lisa and Greg McElvee n and he welcomed as a true friend. I remembered him saying Govergo you are part of our family. Sorry you did not my family, David. We will miss you.
David was my manager at Kemper Insurance and he was hands down the best boss I ever had. He was patient, inspiring, nurturing, motivating, and made the workday seem short and smooth. He always kept us laughing with his lighthearted jokes and he lit up the room with his charisma. He will truly be missed. Heaven has gained an angel. Praying for the McElveen family.

I knew David from 7th grade through high school. He always had a smile on his face and was so kind. Our Reynolds Class of 1983 is having our 40th class reunion this weekend and we will raise a glass to this fine man! Praying for David's family and friends during this difficult time.
