Dave and I were very close friends at Friday Harbor High School and Washington State University. We continued to keep in touch in the early years of our careers. I remember Reed, Dan and Jennifer when they were young children. There was a combined class reunion of Friday Harbor High School in early October of this year. I received a wonderful message from Dave explaining that he would not be able to attend due to his illness. I shared with everyone at the reunion Dave's comments. I am now sitting here thinking about the great times we had growing up on San Juan Island. There are a lot of fond memories. Dave is an example that great people can accomplish great things, even if they grew up on a small remote island. I wish to express my condolences to Dave's entire family.

My life has been greatly enriched by knowing Dave and by having him as my doubles partner. As you know, we played a lot of great matches and we were fortunate enough to win some of them. We go so close in the National 70's in Houston.....Dave was very excited about that, as was I. We had plans to play so many more. Who knows, I think a National Championship was in our future.
I am very grateful to have been a part of Dave's life, and of yours, Debbie! May peace be with you.

I first met Dave when he played in a tournament at my club. Immediately you could tell he was a class guy. He was a very good player and an even better person. He loved life and knew how to have a good time. It was enjoyable to be in his presence. I will always remember him fondly. PEACE

Debbie,
It is hard to come up with the words for Davids passing and your loss. Just know that you have a lot of loving friends that you can reach out, me being one of them. Cancer is such a terrible disease! Take care of yourself and I hope to see you soon. David will be greatly missed by all. He was truly a special guy.

We are sad to learn of the passing of our dear friend, Dave Ringler. He has consulted with us on many law cases searching for ways to bring financial security to people devastated by injury or a family death. Dave was always a true professional and the best consultant we have known. We have sat with him for hours talking about family, horses, tennis, and the adventure of life in general. Here in Knoxville we considered Dave a great friend and he will be missed on both a professional and a personal level. Our sympathy to Dave's family and friends everywhere.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although, I do not know your family personally, I would like to share an encouraging thought from the Bible. You have my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort in knowing that Jehovah God will soon remove all sickness and death. (Isaiah 33:24 and Isaiah 25:8) Jehovah hates death; he views it as an enemy.
