Throughout the Bible, we find statements indicating that God wants us not only to live but also to enjoy life. Yes, he wants us to be joyful, our hearts filled with good cheer. (Psalm. 104:14, 15; Acts 14:16, 17) Thus, he would never bring this calamity on you. We can trust the words of Job 34:10 “Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!” Comfort can be drawn from Psalm 34:18 “Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart, and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.”
So what about precious Dawn? Talking about the resurrection, Jesus said: “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” At that time, the earth will be a paradise where criminals, violence, accidents, sickness and death will be no more. (John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:1-4) Until that day comes, I hope that in due time you receive Jehovah God’s peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.
