Dawn Marie Werhan's Obituary
Dawn Marie Werhan passed away on December 13, 2012 at the home she made lovely, surrounded by her family after a long battle with brain cancer. Dawn was born in Schenectady, NY to Floyd and Betty Lent. She was a talented and creative cook, seamstress, knitter, and decorator. In her work as a teacher, and later as an administrative professional, Dawn was committed to serving and caring for others completely. Dawn (Mama) loved reading, swimming, traveling, popcorn, and being with her loving husband and daughter (Happy Family).
She is survived by her husband, Gerry Werhan; daughter Paige O’Connell Werhan; brothers Drew Lent (Emmanuel Vaughn), and Kurt Lent (June Blackwelder); mother-in-law Irene Werhan, and brother-in-law Edward Werhan.
Profound gratitude goes to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke and The Levine Cancer Institute for the hope and medical expertise that made all the difference for Dawn during the past 33 months. The family would like to thank Hospice of Davidson for their loving care.
