Deforest Peterson's Obituary
DeForest Peterson, 84, a resident of The Pines at Davidson died December 9, 2011 at the Levine-Dickson Hospice House. He was a former Funeral Home owner in Valley City, N.D. DeForest was president of The Pines in 2011 and an active leader of the residence. He served in WWII and the Korean War and retired from the North Dakota National Guard as an Army Lt. Colonel, serving 20 years in the military.
Local survivors include his wife, Dolly, a son Lee (Theresa), of Cornelius, N.C. and a sister Teryl Backus of Davidson, N.C.
Memorials may be made to the Levine-Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078 or the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends at The Pines at 2:00 Monday, December 12, 2011. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Valley City, N.D.
