Devin Anthony Casadevall's Obituary
Devin Anthony Casadevall, 26, of Huntersville passed away on October 7th, 2020 due to complications after an epileptic seizure. Devin was born on July 10th, 1994 in Tampa, Fl, the son of Eddie and Carol.
Devin, above all else, was a lover.
Devin loved to be outside. He always talked about how he had the best childhood, because he spent it on his bike, outside all day, trying to catch lizards and snakes.
Devin loved cars. If you spoke with him for more than 5 minutes, this was obvious. It was his passion. He loved to take something that most people would consider to be scrap and turn in into something to be desired.
Devin loved his job at Accel Welding and Fabrication. It did not matter that his hands were always dirty or if he ached from being on his feet all day – he was always excited to be at work with his best friends, TJ and James Small. He was always so proud of his work and rightfully so, as he was extremely naturally talented.
Devin was an avid Magic the Gathering Player. He would spend hours looking at decklists, trying to find the perfect combo to beat his opponents. He played multiple times a week at his local card shop: Parker, Banner, Kent & Wayne. His presence will be deeply missed by his many friends within the Magic community.
Most importantly, Devin loved his family. Without question, Devin would have done anything for those closest to him. He emitted unconditional love always. His bond with his brother Michael was more than just a sibling relationship. Devin saw Michael as brother, best friend, and a second father-figure. He saw Michael as a guidepost in life. The sound of their laughter together in the same room was indescribable, yet magical.
Devin is survived by his parents Eddie and Carol; his brother Michael (Chelsea); and the love of his life, Alison and their kitten, Stig. He also leaves his aunts, Joni Wyerick; Jennifer Bostain (Rick), Kathi Hardy(Craig); and uncle Joe Hastings. He was also survived by his four cousins: Missy, Alicia, Robbie, and Joseph.
A Celebration of Devin’s life will be held Sunday, October 11th, 4pm, 1700 Harrill St. Charlotte, NC 28205.
James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
