Donald Allan Duval's Obituary
Denver, NC --
Donald Allan Duval, 54, was born June 8, 1969 in Palm Springs, CA. and passed on June 6, 2024
Don was a high school graduate and succeeded in everything he put his mind too.
In his earlier years Don loved playing sports (soccer & baseball). After graduation he worked as a union construction laborer for 10 years. In his later years he worked as a home builder remodeling homes. No project was to big or small.
Don loved the desert and his passion was off road 4 wheeling and riding dirt bikes, he was fearless!!!
Don also had a passion for fishing which from a young child to adulthood he reeled in many fish over the years.
Don was a God-Loving Christian Man. God’s fingers touched him and he slipped from earth’s dark shadows to a brighter day. God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb. He gently closed his weary eyes and whispered “Peace be thine”. To the land of perfect rest; Though he is gone he still lives in the garden of memory.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret “Maggie” Butler, step-father Jim Butler, half brothers Keith Young and Johnny Duval. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Duval.
Don’t grieve for me, for I am free. I am following the path God laid for me. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembering joy for I am free. Lift up your hearth and share with me. God wanted me now; He set me free.
A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 at James Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at NorthLake Memorial Gardens.
