Donald Kiebler's Obituary
Don M. Kiebler, 77 of Charlotte passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.
He was born in Irvington, NJ, and lived most of his life in New Jersey before moving to Charlotte, NC in 1995. Don enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam after graduating from Union High School in 1964. He was a proud supporter of The Wounded Warriors Project and Am Vets. After his return he spent 30 years working in the food broker industry in the NY/NJ area. Once he retired, he relocated to Charlotte, NC and his dream came true when he opened “Dips N Sips,” ice cream parlor.
Don loved surf fishing at the Jersey Shore, golfing, online shopping, spending time with family and friends but most of all his beloved dog, Kalli.
Survived by his loving wife and best friend Phyllis, stepdaughters; Karen Kastl (Rob) of Flanders, NJ, Kelly Long (Steve) of Huntersville, NC, 3 grandchildren; Shane, Courtney, and Savannah.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Monday, October 30th at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. A reception will follow at James Funeral Home in Huntersville.
Don will be laid to rest at Salisbury National Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org in his name.
