My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. The feelings we have when we lose a loved one in death can be unbearable. But through the scriptures we can find hope. At John 5:28,29 Jehovah God promises us, "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...." We can have complete confidence in God's promises.

Dear Diane and Stout family,
Years ago I Don and played ball together for Howard furniture and I assisted him when the Christian men's league was formed. Over the years we lost touch when I moved to Davidson. I was surprised to see he lived in Cornelius -- almost around the corner so to speak. Don was a fine man and I admired him. My prayer for you and DJ is comfort, strength, and peace only God provides as you move forward. My condolences to the entire family.
Dear Stout Family -
It is with heavy heart that I hear of Don's passing. I hope it is of some comfort to the family to know that Papa Stout is in a place of eternal happiness where he will know no pain and suffering and the sweet music is always playing. As I have said before many times...Don has been an inspiration to me. He was one of those people you just like to be around. He was always there to tell a good story or give a little perspective on any situation. He will be remembered by all who knew him....young and old. I know it was always a highlight to my son Nathan to talk to Papa Stout in the dugout about the baseball game he was playing on the field. Don was always a positive inspiration to the kids and was always there to cheer them on. I know I speak for many when I thank Dillon and Conner for sharing their grandpa with us!!!
"You can't change the world, you can only change yourself and hope that wave of change ripples over to the lives of others".....Don Stout definitely showed all of us determination and perseverance and we are all a little better for having known him. Heaven is a little sweeter today...

I was honored to have met Don while I was a player/coach in the Renaissance softball league. I always enjoyed chatting and cutting up with him at our games. He always seemed to enjoy himself being in a team atmosphere. My sincere condolences to DJ and Don's entire family.
