Yume was one of the first people I met after moving to Keizer, OR, in 2008. She welcomed me and husband Sam warmly, invited us to her home for meals and joined us for our Christmas and July 4th parties. We spent much time together, working out at the gym, shopping, having lunch (which she always insisted on buying because I drove), and mostly walking our dogs through the neighborhood. She was one of the most generous people I've ever known, with gifts and intangibles that added comfort and companionship to "the new kids in town." I miss her so much. I was Yumi's dance instructor at the Courthouse Athletic club in Keizer, Oregon for many years. She always had the brightest smile and loved to grove to the music - even hip hop! She always wanted to treat me to lunch and we had several lovely afternoons with limitless pizza. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. What a sweet lady she was.

I met Dung many years ago through the Credit Union that I work for and what started out as a professional relationship quickly became a friendship. She had the biggest heart and infectious attitude. Every time I would go visit her at her home, she would always cook for me...even when I told her it wasn't necessary. She was a fantastic cook! She loved to share a meal and talk about family. Angela, Aidan, Cole & Lili were the light of her life and she would always show me new pictures. My heart goes out to them now, as well as her other family & friends. I know that she will be sorely missed as she will be by me.

Grandma Dung is a long time friend of my grandparents, Grandpa Quang and Grandma Lan. They met in Vietnam, reconnected in California and kept in touch when Grandma Dung moved to Oregon.

Their friendship was truly one of a kind. I can imagine them enjoying each other’s company now in heaven with Grandpa Quang driving Grandma Lan and Grandma Dung to all the places their heart’s desire just like one of their many adventures in San Francisco years ago.

Angela, you and your family are always in our thoughts and prayers.

Yume was our neighbor when we lived in Oregon. She was a ray of sunshine. She was the first person to welcome us to the neighborhood when we moved in. She would invite us over for her wonderful Vietnamese meals. She loved her sweet doggies. She was indeed a ray of sunshine. Our hearts go out to the family. She was a very dear soul.
