Elgeva Hutto's Obituary
Mrs. Elgeva Kiser Hutto, 77, of Charlotte, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 28, 2020 after a lengthy illness.
Elgeva was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She owned her own in home daycare for 20 years and loved all the children as if they were her own. She wrote and published two Christian poetry books that were inspired by God. Elgeva loved gardening and loved all creatures of God. She loved to visit with family, friends and never met a stranger. Elgeva was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Carroll, her parents, Mary and Heath Kiser, and her brother, Hoyle Kiser.
Mrs. Hutto is survived by her five sons; Scott (Nicole), Tim (Debbie), Todd (Kim), Phil (Janice), Kelly (Deborah), sixteen grandkids; Jeffrey, Christopher, Eddie, Preston, Andy, Amber, Brandon, Breezy, Dakota, Dylan, Garrett, Kaylee, Aaron, Kyle, Carson and Andy, eight great-grandkids and soon to be another great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 4100 David Cox Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269 in Elgeva's honor.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. with funeral services starting at 3 p.m. Friday, October 2 at James Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Grant officiating. Committal services will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
