Ellen Hazelton's Obituary
Ellen Stewart Hazelton, 93, of Davidson, NC died July 19, 2011 at the Levine Dickson Hospice House. She was born on March 8, 1918 in St. Louis, MO to the late Elvin Stewart and Bertha Wood.
Ellen worked as a Real Estate Broker in Rumson, New Jersey where she both founded and owned her own agency for over 30 years.
Upon retirement Ellen was a volunteer at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Massachusetts. She was also an avid member of the Red Hat Society in South Yarmouth, Massachusetts.
One of her main passions in life was world travel. During her lifetime she visited many countries to learn about different cultures.
Foremost in Ellen’s life was her family. Her wisdom, kindness and unconditional love will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betsy Hazelton of Davidson; her 5 grandsons Andrew Bloch, Todd Bloch, Philip Bloch, Christopher Hazelton and Judson Hazelton and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband William S. Hazelton; son, W. Stewart Hazelton and daughter, Nancy Bloch.
A service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Planned Parenthood or World Wildlife Fund.
