Gavin Cox's Obituary
Gavin Doyle Cox, 22, of Huntersville, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 from a fatal car accident.
Gavin was a graduate of East Carolina University in Criminal Justice and had attended middle and high school at Pine Lake Preparatory in Mooresville. He was currently enrolled in Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) at Mitchell Community College and was looking forward to a career in law enforcement.
Gavin left an everlasting impression on anyone he met. He will forever be remembered for his radiating smile, his larger-than-life personality, and his infectious energy. Gavin is also known for being a hard-working individual; at times juggling three jobs at a time. He started his own lawn business with his brothers when he was ten years old.
Gavin is survived by his parents, Debbie and Rodrick Cox; brothers Colton and Grayson Cox; and his beloved 3 ½ month old puppy, Diezel, named after his cherished diesel truck.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 3:00 PM at James Funeral Home in Huntersville. The family will receive family and friends on Friday, March 25, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
