Harry Miles Smith, 95, of Huntersville, NC., died February 9, 2015 at the Serenity House, Huntersville, NC.
He was born on May 1, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Francis and Mary Smith. He served in the US Marines and worked as a Truck Driver for Breyers Ice Cream.
Survivors include his son Rich Smith and wife Susan of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Russell Smith (Marti) of Greensboro, NC, and Nicole Hefner (Brian) of Hickory, NC; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sophie, Connor and Caroline.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife Ethel.
Memorials may be made to The Serenity House, 14108 Stumptown Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078.
The visitation will be held from 4:30~6:00 PM, Friday, February 13, 2015 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 PM with Rev. Jill Smith officiating.
Burial will be private at Salisbury National VA Cemetery.
