Helen Hooker's Obituary
Helen Ernestine Hooker was born on July 26, 1926, in Keo, Arkansas, to Ernest and Iva Harvey. She began her new life in eternity with Jesus, whom she loved above all, on October 12, 2020. The most important event of her life occurred at 12 years of age when the Lord Jesus Christ saved her and made her forever his own. He was faithful to her all her days. Next to her picture in her high school annual were written the words: “To know her is to love her,” a testimony to God’s work in her life.
Mrs. Hooker trained to be a registered nurse and devotedly ministered in that profession for many years. She was married to James Eugene Hooker her beloved husband for almost 58 years, with whom she has now been reunited in God’s eternal kingdom.
Mrs. Hooker is survived by her four children and their families, and by her sister and her family. As Proverbs 31 states: “Her children rise up and call her blessed.” She loved and treasured many; and she was loved and treasured by many.
