Jacquelyn R. Elliott's Obituary
Jacquelyn Ruth Elliott
November 9, 1930 - January 3, 2025
Jacquelyn (Jackie) Ruth Elliott of Davidson, North Carolina passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Jackie’s best friend and devoted husband of 73 years, Bob Elliott, passed a year ago and we know that their reunion in heaven was a glorious one. She leaves behind her adoring family: daughters Cheryl (Bob) Trgovich, Sue (George) Adlam and Diane (Phil) Wilson. Jackie was a loving grandmother to grandchildren: Jacqui (Scotty) Rivers, Denise (Ryan) Baker, Daniel (Quelita) Trgovich, Katie (Drew) Kline, Joey Logano, Elliott (Lauren) Wilson, Freddie Wilson, Ben Wilson, Miranda, George and Grant Adlam. Jackie is also survived by 15 beloved great-grandchildren, her devoted brother, Lee Goldsberry and his wife Jan, sister-in-law, Joyce Elliott and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. In addition to her husband, Jackie was predeceased by her adored sister, JoAnne Keuch.
Jackie was born on November 9, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Jack and Mildred Kemper Kingsolver. She and her husband, Bob, were able to experience life in many parts of the country such as Hawaii, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, New York and Connecticut due to Bob’s service in the Navy and work relocations. They were happy to settle down in North Carolina to retire.
Jackie was a nurturing, talented, creative and energetic wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family above all else and put their needs ahead of her own. She was known for being extremely organized and on top of things. Jackie enjoyed bringing her family together and cooking delicious meals to be presented on a table decorated with fresh flowers and served on fine china. She would often host all of her children and grandchildren for weeks at a time. Jackie was an expert seamstress and sewed elaborate Halloween costumes for all of her children and grandchildren, along with beautiful dresses, window treatments and anything anyone needed. She enjoyed home decorating, classical music, reading historical novels, playing bridge and board games, tennis and a good glass of red wine. She also loved dogs and her furry family members were always treated with care. Throughout her life, she was an active volunteer at church and at the Salvation Army. Jackie spent her life finding ways to serve and show kindness to others. She was happiest when those she loved were happy.
The family would like to thank Jackie’s caregivers at The Pines as well as the team at VIA Health Hospice Care for their compassion and excellent care.
