It was never less than a Royal Event when Aunt Joan came to visit. She had a presence that was larger than life and she made sure we were aware of it. Her humor was unique and so entertaining. She was openly generous with her love, her stories and sage advise. She helped us with our Sullivan family history by filling in some valuable blanks.
To our cousins: Robert, Kenny, Nancy and Loretta and children, may your lifelong memories keep her forever alive in your heart.
Future events at our home will be missing a honored guest.
Aunt Joan marched to her very own drum. She is no doubt the leader of the band in heaven.
We will always love and miss her. And, we know how blessed we are to have been a part of her family.
Fly high Aunt Joan.🕊️
I love you forever and always

During the years I worked with Joan at George Washington School we shared our family news during our daily coffee breaks . Your mother was a unique and feisty lady who loved her family so very much. We kept in touch and she raved about how she was treated like a queen by all of you. You were blessed to have such a wonderful mother.
My deepest condolences.

To the Kratchman family,
I have many wonderful memories of Joan as I was a new teacher at George Washington School in Mahwah in 1965. She was beloved!
I know you all have many fond memories shared together. I am also a parishioner at St Elizabeth’s in Wyckoff, NJ where Joan and Bob served the parish.
With sympathy,
