Joan Sullivan Kratchman, 87, of Mooresville, North Carolina took her last precious earthly breath on Saturday, May 7, 2022. She passed peacefully at the home of her eldest daughter, Loretta (and husband Jim), while holding hands, she was gathered into the arms of Jesus. Joan is predeceased by her husband Robert Michael Kratchman (Bob) of 67 years. Joan was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and in 1955, she married her life partner Bob. In 2011 Joan and Bob moved to Mooresville, North Carolina where she enjoyed family and close friends. She met a lovely group of women at the St. Therese newcomers’ group that became her dear friends. She was an avid reader and relished the simplicity of her retired life. To those that knew and loved her, she was known as “The Duchess” a role she embraced wholeheartedly!
