Joan Alice Quaile's Obituary
Joan Alice Quaile of Huntersville, NC passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born on December 4th, 1942 in Queens, NY to the late John and Lillian Benson.
Joan was a member of Huntersville United Methodist Church where she had been active in United Methodist Woman and volunteered at their food pantry. She was also an active member of The Retirees with Flair of North Charlotte (a social group). Playing Mah-Jongg with good friends was one of her great enjoyments. She was always looking forward to talking to her family and having them for visits.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, John (Jay) Quaile; their children, James Quaile (Laura) of Mohegan Lake, NY and Jennifer Harrop (Eric) of Lakeville, MA; grandchildren, Ethan, William, Jacqueline and Shannon; brothers, Peter Benson of Connecticut, Bill Benson of Colorado and John Benson of NY; sister, Hilma Dragan of NY; and loving cousins nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by sister, Bettina.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, at 11 a.m. at Huntersville United Methodist Church. The family will receive guests following the Memorial Service in the Parish Hall adjacent to the Worship Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HUMC Food Pantry, 14005 Stumptown Road, Huntersville NC 28078 or to the Putnam Valley Community Food Pantry at 337 Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley, 10579 in the memory of Joan Quaile.
The family is being served by James Funeral Home of Huntersville.
