I am just one of the many who started their education under the guidance of Mr. Hansil at Huntersville Elementary. While we are saddened at his passing, we have all benefited greatly from his many years of public service. Thank you Mr. Hansil and prayers and comfort to your family.

Meg, Wanda, John and Mary,
As I read John’s obituary, I am flooded with memories...the memory of the first time I spent the night at your house (Hillcrest Dr...go by and see it if you get a chance. It’s getting a major remodel), spending the night in your new house for Meg’s 10th birthday and playing Beatles records, an errant golf club swing for which I still bear a scar, Wanda’s 6th grade English class, piccolo music in band...so many memories of this amazing family and their contribution to education, church and the Huntersville community. May you all be comforted in your grief knowing that John fought the good fight and won the race. Love and prayers.
