Dear Family,
I'm really sorry I can't be there with you today, but want you to know we're keeping you all close in thought and prayer. Your dad was a good and faithful servant for the Lord - and all of us. Seems like he always had a smile on his face - no matter what else was going on around him and he really did enjoy living life to the fullest.
I hope you know how much your Dad and Mom meant to my parents through the years
and they had many memorable times together. My dad, especially, will miss his "checkers" buddy. Last time they played, dad was a little worried about your dad because he "almost" beat him. :) As long as I can remember, I don't believe a week went by when dad didn't bring up your dad's name in a conversation.
