RIP Jon, my friend. You will be greatly missed. I will treasure all of our wonderful memories. I love you.
To Jon's family -
I knew Jon as a spunky, smart, unique and interesting man who loved to talk about policy and politics and who loved his grandkids and his dear Lewis. I'm so sorry he was taken before his time and so sorry for your loss.
Guttman family - I was so sad to hear about Jon's passing. He was a lovely person and so much fun to be around - witty and smart and thoughtful. He really embraced Lewis' sprawling extended family when he moved down here and seemed to always be interested in our lives, spouses and children. But mostly I'll remember his care of Nuna and Lewis through their illnesses as an amazing example of selflessness and love. He was, simply, "good," and will be remembered that way by Lewis' family and everyone who knew him in his adopted community.
With warm regards,
Steve, Joyce, Quinn and Adam
Jon will be missed. I talked to him after my husband's death a few months ago, and he made some helpful observations. I know the family will miss him for a long time.
We are so sorry to lose Jon. We loved him also.
He was a wonderful friend and family member.
He was so proud of Amy, Jeffery and his
grandchildren. Each and every one of you
will be in our prayers and thoughts.

My sincere condolences to the family. I was both shocked and saddened to hear of Jon's passing. I was a fraternity brother and close friend of Jon back in the late 60's to early 70's. I caught up with him via Facebook and reconnected a little . Once again my condolences.
Gary - my deepest sympathy for you and your family for this profound loss. May you find comfort and peace as you move through the process of grief and of saying goodbye. I have you in my prayers. Love, Pam
We were truly saddened to hear of Jon's passing. He was such a dear man and will be truly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and other close friends who we know, will have an empty place in their hearts where Jon had once filled with his love, generosity and kind spirit. Jon loved flowers and loved sharing them with the one's he loved. We will miss you our friend. Sincerely, your friends Bill & Chris at Lake Norman Flowers & Gifts.
