It still does not seem real and it certainly doesn’t seem fair that Jon was taken from us so soon. I just thank God for giving Jon to us and letting us be a part of his life. Jon truly was a gift to us all and he will always hold a place in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers.

Dear Sharon, Chip, Gary and Laura, please know that you are all in our prayers and thoughts with the loss of your beloved Jonathan. It is very clear from the many heartfelt tributes to Jonathan that he was a greatly loved and special person. It would have been wonderful to have known him, but the reality of the Usich family being spread from San Francisco to Connecticut did not allow us that privilege. It's obvious the world was a better place because of him.
We hope that in the difficult days ahead that the good memories of Jonathan might help assuage the anguish of his passing for the entire Holmes family as time goes on.

To John’s parents, his brother and sister, my husband and I wish to say how sorry we are to have heard of John’s passing. We had met John a handful of times at our daughter, Cindy’s, house usually for a cookout. He was so pleasant and soft spoken. May God bless John and all your family.
