Joseph Galanti's Obituary
Joseph John Galanti, 63, of Huntersville, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family Tuesday morning, February 25th, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Dolores, his children, Michael (Joana) and Jenna, his mother, Rita, and his sister, Frances (Ken), as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joseph enjoyed his younger days on the baseball fields in Brooklyn New York. He was a center fielder and was awarded several college baseball scholarships. After college, Joe married his high school sweetheart and moved to Texas and later a permanent move was made to Charlotte, NC. In Charlotte, Joe met new friends and touched many people’s lives. All those that knew Joseph, also knew of his long-term struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. However, throughout his entire life, Joe always remained positive and happy as well as appreciative of all those that cared for him, visited him, and spent time with him. Despite his limitations, Joe always maintained a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by many.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 1 from 4-6 PM at James Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, March 2 at 1:45 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with a committal service to follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
