The St. Mark's Class of 2010 who had Mrs. Louis as their 8th grade English teacher wishes to send their deepest condolences, prayers, and sympathies to the family of Mrs. Louis. She was an excellent teacher with a knack for finding ways to keep everyone interested and on task. She always seemed to have a joke at the right time, whether to diffuse a situation, or get rid of some tension you could count on her. Mrs. Louis had a great impact on all of our lives and we will never forget that.

Kathi walked into the office and it was amazing. She lit up the room. She was beaming and was immediately a part of the Student Union family. She did everything she needed to do and then some. I can’t say that I was her big brother, but I can certainly say she was my little sister (the one I never had). After SJU, we did keep in touch a little bit. I will always remember how excited she was to tell me she was visiting New York and we had to meet for lunch so that she could introduce me to her husband, Rob. Like some have already said, even though we had not seen each other in years, when we got together again, the time spent together was like we had seen each other just yesterday. Kathi and Rob were perfect for each other. They laughed and told stories together, and we all laughed more. We had such a great time; it was a good re-charge of our fun-filled days spent at SJU in Student Union. I remember how she was involved with all the SJU events. Kathi always helped everyone and then did her own work. She was fun, and her smile and laugh were infectious. She would come to me for advice, but I was really just a sounding board for her to encourage herself to do what she knew was what needed to be done, or how something needed to be handled. Kathi was amazing then, and I know from seeing her again that day she visited, and afterwards by our occasional emails (and later Facebook exchanges), and from Christmas cards, that she raised two amazing boys and was partnered with a very loving husband in an amazing marriage. Kathi will always be amazing to all of us because of the way she lived and the way she made her mark on the things she touched. She certainly touched our lives and that will never be lost, she lives in our hearts and minds forever. Rob, William, and Patrick you are so blessed to have been with her and it is for certain that she will always be with you. I extend to you my sincerest heartfelt condolences, and my promise that there are many friends here in NY that will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this time. You will always have the SJU Student Union Family with you as well. God Bless.

I lost touch with Kathi a little after St. John's. She was such a good friend to all of us in the Student Union. She was always involved, always smiling. I remember so many good times...comedy nights, basketball games, Board Barn... She was such a great person and we shared so many laughs. We were all lucky to have spent some time with her. My condosclences to all her loved ones. Kathi, rest in peace until we meet again...

I have watched Kathryn leave work for the last years getting weaker by the year, hoping she
would get stronger . Never missing a beat , staying later then most . teaching was her calling.
she will be dearly missed.

The entire Kennedy /Martini family is so sorry for your loss. Kathi will be forever remembered as a fun and loving person. She so readily welcomed new comers to the group and always was a huge support to all who knew her. I can still see her in the Student Union office getting ready for any event that we had, always full of energy and, as so many have said, always laughing. May you find comfort in knowing that Heaven has an Angel that will be watching over all of us and knowing Kathi, stirring up a bit of mischief while she's at it. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. Rest in Peace, Kathi...

My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with Kathi's family. My heart is with you all. Kathi was truly a special and beautiful person. I will always remember her contagious laugh and her beautiful smile

I have many memories of Kathi, but my my fondest and most fun memory was her coming to a Halloween party at school as the "Macy's Sales Lady". She came right from work at Macy's with her blue suit on and her official Macy's name tag. No time to change and that was fine. That was Kathi. Real, honest, funny and right on. Her spirit was strong and her love for a good laugh took precedence.

This beautiful woman meant so much to so many different people. To me, she was a friend I could always count on no matter how much time was spent apart. I shared with her so many things and she always had good solid advice. Her life was full. It was full of love, especially for her men. Her husband, and her boys.

I will forever remember my beautiful friend. She will be in my thoughts and prayers now and always. Heaven has a new beautiful angel, Kathi Corgan Louis. May God hold her in His loving arms and may she rest in beautiful peace. I will never forget her and I will pray for her always.

Kathi, we hadn't seen each other in long time, but I know if we met it would be as if it was only yesterday. Your laugh, your smile, your kindness and your patience were just a few of your virtues.
