Kenneth "Herman" Fons' Obituary
Kenneth “Herman” Anthony Fons, 58, of Davidson, NC, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, NC.
Herman was born on March 25, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI and was the son of the late Kenneth Francis and Shirley Crane Fons. He was a Chef for over 40 years which included Executive Chef of the Carolina Panthers for the last six seasons and the Jacksonville Jaguars for two seasons. Most recently he was a Freelance Chef.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Mortl Fons of Davidson; son, Kyle Scott Fons of Matthews; daughter, Kristina Lynn Fons of Davidson; five sisters and one brother; numerous nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed his music especially the Rolling Stones, rides in his golf cart with his Frenchies “Lacie & Lola”, and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He took pride in having a beautiful yard and you could always find him there. He was a warm hearted man always willing to help anyone. He never met a stranger.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 6:00 PM, at James Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
