Larry Eugene Thompson, 81, died on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at his home following a prolonged illness. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Nancy (Knight) Thompson; sons, Daniel Eugene Thompson, David Glynn Thompson, Douglas Bruce Th Read Obituary
I will always remember Larry as our running guru and career counselor. Long weekend runs in Charlottesville with ample time to vent and tease and never take offense and always time for Bodo's Bagels. We all loved Larry and will miss him.

I am extremely sorry to learn of Larry's passing. Patty and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Larry was one of my closest friends, and I will truly miss his kidding, wit and banter. I'll always remember Larry, John, and I slogging through the miles in the Virginia foothills, in any kind of weather, in preparation for some foot race, to be held somewhere, anywhere, anytime, solving the ills of the world as we ran. :-) Those were the days I will always remember and treasure. nancy i know you and larry had a wonderfull 47 years together. you could see the gleam in your eyes .a very good friend told me when my wife died just remember all the good times you had together and all the good things happened the last 47 years you want have anytime to feel sad. larry was like a brother to me and i loved the both of you. ed
We will truly miss Larry. He and Nancy are both special friends with whom we enjoyed a lot of good times over almost 30 years of friendship.
