Lilyan Hunter's Obituary
Lilyan Smith Hunter, 94 of Cornelius died July 28, 2020. She was born on October 17, 1925 in Mecklenburg County to the late Cliff and Mary Smith. She worked for nearly forty years for Crescent Electric in Cornelius. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Charles “Gene” Hunter and partner Betsy of Cornelius; grandson Wes and wife Dawn; and their children, Sidney Noble, Lilyan, and Sophia; sister, Miriam Whisnant and her daughter Jane Workman and husband Richard.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday, August 3 with Rev. Jill Smith officiating.
