Lucy Covington McFalls' Obituary
Lucy Covington McFalls, 80, of Cornelius, NC, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
She was born on January 6, 1934 in Davidson, NC and was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Lottie Cathcart Covington. She was a Nurses Aid with Huntersville Oaks for 23 years and a member of Shearer Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Lloyd McFalls of Cornelius; three daughters, Doris Al-Taher of Conway, SC, Becky Kelly and husband Danny of Gastonia, and Cathy Nantz and husband Norman of Stanley; three sons, Lloyd McFalls, Jr. and wife Lori of Newmanstown PA, David McFalls and John McFalls, both of Gastonia; two brothers, Benny Covington and Kenny Covington; three sisters, Jenny Davidson and husband Bruce, Nancy Huffman and Linda Livengood and husband Steve; she was “Grandma Lucy” to 59 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at Shearer Presbyterian Church in Mooresville with Dr. Stephen Stout officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the fellowship hall of church.
In lieu of cut flowers, the family request floral arrangements to be potted plants.
