Marcy Lahetta's Obituary
Marcy Lahetta, 82, of Huntersville, NC, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Marcy was born and raised in Michigan and lived in Ohio and New Jersey before retiring to Leland, NC with her husband Carl. She married Carl Adrian Lahetta, her loving husband of 51 years, on April 18, 1964. He predeceased her on July 1, 2015. Marcy was a member of First Baptist Church of Wilmington, NC. She has many dear friends from her Bible studies and neighbors there. She has many cherished dear friends from Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey, and North Carolina. Marcy eventually moved to Huntersville to live with her son Michael and family where she was a member of the First Baptist church of Huntersville and the Bible group where she formed many friendships. Marcy enjoyed cooking, Sunday dinners, traveling, playing cards and games, and most of all spending time with her friends and family.
Marcy was preceded in death by her son, Carl Andrew Lahetta; parents, William and Florence Woolgar; two brothers, Donald and William Donnenwerth, and five sisters, Marlene Gembarowski, Mavis Strieter, Alice Fisher, Betty Kocks-Haas and Kay Lickly.
Marcy will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael (Michelle); her Daughter In-Law, Suzanne; her grandchildren, Meredith, Sean, Alexandra, Megan, Jacob, Ryan, Mia; sister, Gail (Dean) Savell; Sister-in Laws, Carole Moran, Judy (Larry) Rusin, Glori Lahetta, MJ Kerr; Brother-in laws, Tom (Chris) Lahetta, Bill (Pearl) Lahetta, Phillip Lahetta, and many, many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at First Baptist Church, 411 Market Street, Wilmington, 28401. Inurnment will follow in the Church Gardens.
