Mrs. Marilyn Bissinger, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 07, 2026 surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born in Fort Wayne, IN and lived in Virginia before moving to North Carolina in 2005. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Read Obituary
There are so many good memories of mine and Marilyn's that it is impossible to pick a favorite! Marilyn and I and many others donated much of our time to the LLBF Ladies Auxiliary by working in the snack bar at Bill Allen Field in Sterling Park, attending board meetings, and of course, cheering Nick's and Jason's football teams. We made lots of friends and lifetime memories.
One special memory is when I was Jason's sponsor and Marilyn was Nick's sponsor for Confirmation. After the ceremony, everyone met for a reception at the church-except for us! Park View had a very important game that we could not miss so off we went!
When Nick and Jason played basketball in high school, we never missed a game. We loved criticizing the coach when our super stars came out of the game!
All in all Marilyn & I experienced many happy times that I will never forget and when I think of them, a smile comes to my face. She was a wonderful friend who helped in our shared raising of Nick & Jason!
